Sampling

Sampling starts with the selection of appropriate sampling sites, which should be representative for the stream reach to be assessed. The comparability between samples of different sampling sites requires a harmonised framework for the sampling and identification processes. Therefore, a standardized protocol is necessary comprising field sampling and lab processing.
